Rated 95 - Molettieri's 2005 Taurasi Cinque Querce is one of the more youthful, extroverted Taurasis in this vintage. This dense, textured wine reveals plenty of dark red fruit in a full-bodied style that gains volume and depth in the glass. Hints of cured meats, tobacco tar smoke, ash and earthiness appear on the finish, but this remains an intense Taurasi in need of serious bottle age before it begins to reveal the full breadth of its character.
